Sometimes it’s hard to fully explain the impact of our work at Tresacare: the conversations, the connections, and the moments that stay with us long after an event ends. So instead, we’ll share one story.
On March 12th, we attended the Berkshire Care Association Job Fair in Reading. We were scheduled as one of several speakers, alongside hosting a stand to meet care workers and providers.
Then, at the last minute, plans changed. Other speakers were unable to attend – and suddenly, we were the sole speaker.

What could have been a challenge became an opportunity for us.
Co-founder & COO Ale took to the stage to share who we are, why Tresacare exists, and why supporting care workers has never been more urgent. With more time than expected, we were able to go deeper – not just into what we do, but into the realities care workers face every day, and why change is needed now.
We also shared a glimpse of what was ahead for us as an organisation, including an upcoming visit to Parliament.
With the room engaged and open, our Business Educator, Ana Celina Fernandes Mutlu, stepped in to lead a 20-minute motivational session. What followed was one of the most energising moments of the day – a space where care workers could reflect, connect, and feel re-energised in their roles.
After the session, our stand was flooded with care workers and providers – people eager to connect, share their stories, and learn more about how they could be part of what we’re building.
Among them was Prince, a care worker we were introduced to during the event. What started as a conversation quickly turned into something more: a shared belief in the need for change, and a genuine enthusiasm to get involved.
We were delighted to meet so many new connections across the sector. Among care providers, it was especially meaningful to deepen our relationship with Apex, who, after meeting us at several events, invited us to deliver a wellbeing session for their care workers on 25 March. We also had the pleasure of connecting with KCare Medical Locum, Home Instead, and Puresoul Care – opening the door to further collaboration.

Moments like this remind us why show up matters.
After a single presentation, it’s not uncommon for care workers to feel empowered, to see their own potential more clearly, and to want to play a more active role in shaping the future of the sector.
As usual, this was more than just showing up to a job fair. We genuinely look forward to creating and joining spaces for connection, for energy, and for new beginnings – not just for us, but for the many care workers and providers we met along the way.
We’re incredibly grateful to Berkshire Care Association for creating that space, and to everyone who came to speak with us, share their experiences, and be part of the conversation.
