We’re humbled, honoured, and thrilled to share that Tresacare has raised £10,000 at this year’s Crowdbacker 2025 – a live crowdfunding event celebrating social ventures led by entrepreneurs of colour.

Organised by Year Here in partnership with The Funding Network and Black Funding Network, this year’s event took place in early April at x+why’s People’s Mission Hall in Whitechapel and brought together an incredible community of change-makers, backers, and believers. The energy in the room – filled with live pitches, pledges, and purpose – was electric.

As the founder of Tresacare, I had the privilege of sharing our story: a social enterprise rooted in personal experience, built to care for the people who care for others. In the UK, 1 in 3 care workers leave the profession each year, often due to burnout, stress, and lack of support. Many are women of colour, international workers, or displaced individuals, caring for our most vulnerable while struggling themselves.

Our mission is to reverse that trend – by placing wellbeing support at the heart of the care sector. The funds raised will help us scale our programmes, including Wellbeing Gyms, peer support circles, and soft skills training – and crucially, support the development of our upcoming mobile app, putting wellbeing support directly into the hands of more care workers who need it most.

🙏 To everyone who attended, pledged, encouraged or cheered us on remotely: thank you!!! Your support will have a lasting impact on those who give so much, yet receive so little.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Year Here, Black Funding Network, and The Funding Network for believing in us, and for creating spaces like Crowdbacker that help turn bold ideas into impact.
